Owen has been at the forefront of guitar tuition for several decades. Many of his students are now enjoying successful careers in the music industry.
Owen teaches students of all levels from his locations in Kimbolton Cambridgeshire, Kings Lynn Norfolk and online worldwide.
Guitar Lessons
Owen teaches guitar to students from beginner to advanced levels in one to one and small groups. He teaches throughout Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire and West Norfolk.
Owen also teaches online both nationally (including London, Bristol, Surrey and Birmingham) and internationally (including Dubai, France, Germany, Scotland and the USA).
A guitar teacher, performer and author, Owen has gained an international reputation and has over 30 years professional teaching experience.
Owen has one of the best track records in the business. He has taught over 1000 students privately, at schools, online, and at rock schools & workshops. Many of his students are now well-known professional guitarists in genres including Metal, Blues/Rock and West End/Theatre.
My Experience
Owen Edwards started playing classical guitar at the age of 14. At the same time, he was also teaching himself the electric being influenced by Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and Rush. Quickly moving onto studying the techniques of players such as Eddie Van Halen and Yngwie Malmsteen, Owen was teaching students by the age of 17. He studied with Shaun Baxter at the Guitar Institute and was busy gigging in pub and club bands by his 18th birthday.
Owen was active in the rock scene during this period writing and session playing with many seasoned pros. Owen began teaching professionally from 1992.
In 1993 he recorded the 'Vaughan Daniels' album with renowned producer Shaun Lynch (Black Sabbath, Judas Priest). During this time living in London, Owen would always be playing live at the capital's famous venues regularly jamming with some of the period's great players including Dave Murray (Iron Maiden) and Martin Gore (Depeche Mode).
From 1993 until 2006 Owen taught at the Cambridge Rocktech music courses and since 2000 he has been teaching at over a dozen schools throughout Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire.

Owen Edwards was born and raised in Kimbolton, Cambridgeshire and this is his main base from where he records and teaches.
Having established a reputation as one of the area's most accomplished players and teachers, Owen draws students from throughout the region including:
Cambridgeshire, (Huntingdon, Peterborough, St Neots etc).
Bedfordshire, (Bedford, Sandy, Amptill etc).
Northamptonshire (Northampton, Kettering, Rushden, Wellingborough etc).
Owen also has a second location in Kings Lynn, Norfolk. From here, he teaches students from Kings Lynn, Wisbech, Fakenham and the surrounding area.
I have known Owen Edwards since way back in the 1980s. He has always been a supportive and valued member on the UK guitar community. He is also a fine musician and teacher whose work I thoroughly recommend.
